132 Jacobean Flair Project - at bottom

Sandy created all the projects for this set.  If you choose to purchase the tapestry designs & use them in an unusual way, please send us pictures for our project pages!

  1. embroidery designs Project 1 - The bed linens were done for my 12 YO granddaughter's birthday. She's a bit of a tomboy & I wanted something both feminine yet not foofy! As you can see, the tapestry embroidery designs lend themselves well to coordinating.

  2. embroidery designs Project 2 - The dark plum challis shirt was a real challenge! I didn't want to lose the soft hand of the fabric. As you can see, the fabric is still quite fluid.

  3. embroidery designs Project 3 - The white shirt was created using embroidery designs from sets 131 Floral Tapestry & 127 Hint of the Orient. Each block on the shirt is approx. 3 x 3 in.

The only backing used on any of the above projects was Wonder Solve ! In some instances, I did use 2 layers. I did not hoop any of these, but used the "hoopless" method described in my lessons. < click to See lessons
For the right side of the shirt, I double flipped the embroidery designs in order to keep the bulk of the shirt to the left of the machine.

132 Jacobean Flair Project

The creator of this project did not wish to be identified.

The sweatshirt cardigan was stitched on the Ult 2001 so that the designs could be enlarged to fill the 10"+ sewing field.

The front motifs are from 133 Jacobean Sprays. The back motif is from 132 Jacobean Flair.

Sandy's "non-hoop" method was used since the sweatshirt is thick & would have been difficult to hoop. In addition, placement was critical on the mirrored front sprays!

Two layers of our Wonder Solve soluble was hooped, then misted with 505 spray adhesive to hold the SS until the hoop could be attached. A basting frame was stitched before the design to make sure that everything stayed in place during stitching.

As you can see, the results are beautiful! Watch for more projects on this page!

Hi -
I have been making throw pillows to spring up the living room - here are jpgs of two things that I used and did.  One is the bath and bed linen design done in just one color - looks a lot like lace
The other is 132 JF numbers 13,23,30 combined and increased 15%.
Both of the pillows were done on the Artista.   And once again, I just am getting more and more spoiled. Even after combining the three, and re- sequencing by color, I only had about 3 or 4 jump stitches.  Some designs have 10 times more than that!    I liked the combinations of the flowers and the increase -  it filled the pillow nicely.

Nancy Brennan sent me these photos of this sweatshirt cardigan she created using designs from sets 012 Bird Collection and 011 Birdhouse Collection.
Really dute way to combine 2 sets & custom lettering!

  Thanks for sharing Nancy!
